Festival 2012 will be a blend of old and new, an opportunity to share
our joy in making music that makes a difference. The new and exciting
programming in place including three incredible performance halls,
late-night cabaret venues for ensembles, new evening Block Buster
concerts, GALA Flash Mob performances in downtown Denver, and the
option for choruses to choose their own flexible performance set
length, creating a kaleidoscope of concerts and activities to choose.

The Big Gay Sing:
a fun and hugely gay sing-along evening with familiar Broadway, pop and
LGBT-themed music and choreography

Classical Masterworks Sing-Along:
sing famous classical masterworks and opera choruses with orchestra.
Music provided and no rehearsal required

GALA Commissions History & Highlights:
celebrating GALA's LGBT history through stories, photographs and
narration featuring music commissioned by our choruses over our
30-year history

Women's Chorus Singin' in the Round:

join our mixed choruses as we sing for each other

Coffee Concerts:
special morning concerts highlighting choirs performing with

Please include your name, address, choir if you sing in one, email,
phone number with international dial code, your voice part and the languages you
speak, listing them with your mother or most competent spoken language first
in order of competence.
How we will help

As a singer you will be expected to have a degree of musical competence
and most of the music will be learnt by you with our help at home,
before you arrive in Denver.

There will be on-line home learning with:

Copy music to download and print at home

An mp3 rehearsal recording for each voice part to download onto your
computer, iPhone, phone, MP3 player or to CD.

Webinar learning sessions at your computer.

A video to by the Musical Director to see online

Some rehearsals when we are in Denver.
The timetable and general information about this project

September – October 2011 – expression of interest invited from singers.

November – if the project is viable
we will publish all the details of the costs, repertoire and a cut-off
date to say "Yes please I can't wait to get on that plane"

If the project is not viable
we will let you know by November 15th and outline other options for you
in Denver (we may be able to pair you up with other groups that are planning to go)
